The Spartans were defeated by a good
CBHS team this week. The team played a great game but made a few key mistakes at key times. The defense played lights out
all evening. Terry Robinson paced the squad with 2 interceptions and 6 solo tackles. Anthony Matthews also had an interception.
Alfredo Diaz and Rodger Smith paced the defensive line. Fred Harvey, Sam Cage,Garrison Eble, and Rex Hamilton played extremely
well. Zac Arrington and Octavious Morris were extremely solid as well.
The offense
played great between the twenty yard lines but made mistakes that are typical of a very young team. The unit had close
to 400 yards. Andrew Marino had over 200 yards passing. Julian Burton had over 100 yards receiving and over 70 yards rushing.
Brandon Hayes and Torian Nickleberry both had over 5 yards a carry rushing. Anthony Hayes, Ben Gholson, Adrian Ross had key
receptions. Deandra Simmons paced a young offensive line that provided the protection for the evening.
