Spartan Football Academic Standards

Each player is allowed five demerits during the first semester. Demerits are assigned for failing grades and conduct marks of N or U. One demerit is given for each "F" and each "U" while 1/2 a demerit is given for each "N". More than five demerits in the first three six weeks leads to second semester probation. Players will not be allowed to rejoin the team until the end of the school year provided their second semester report card produces five or fewer demerits. Those who have five or fewer demerits in the first semester, but appear to begin struggling during the second semester will be handled on a six weeks by six weeks basis.
